Buyer wants to cancel as found it cheaper but only paid 99p

New to me as a seller,  someone bought a child’s jacket for 99p and wants to cancel and the reason given is “found it cheaper elsewhere”

What do I do? This is taking the mick. I thought once you buy on eBay you are committed to buy, or it is no longer a thing?

You can never force a buyer to buy same as you cannot force a seller to sell an item.

It's extremely frustrating but no point posting it out, just cancel the order citing buyer requests to cancel,  this refunds the buyer,  and your seller performance is not affected.

Block them from returning and messing you about again here:

Thanks. Yes frustrating as the seller you are stuck, refuse the cancellation and risk bad feedback when it’s not even my fault  ( and poor excuse given not wanting it as found it cheaper elsewhere when she only paid 99p for it at auction)

So you have to accept the buyers request (and reason), cancel the order even though I don’t want to, and have to relist and start all over again. And lose a week. ebay need to close this loophole. Thanks for your answer it’s helpful.

As you say only 99p so why fuss about it?

If buyer did not pay, after 4 days cancel for non payment, at least that gives buyer an unpaid strike and no feedback can be left.

Add buyer to blocked bidders list.

thanks, been confused. they requested to cancel straight away once auction ended. I’ve accepted that cancellation before the four days as was unsure what to do.
I didn’t know if I had waited 4 days it would then give them an unpaid strike. I thought the cancellation request meant that would not have happened. You live and learn hence asking on here.
It was never about the value, it was the risk to my feedback if I didn’t agree to the cancellation. hope that makes sense.
