Buyer wants a refund for an item delivered over a month ago

I sold a console in November and it was delivered on the 23rd. The buyer now (26th December) wants a refund, and says that the controller is broken and it is loud and they are complaining that it has a 3rd party power supply even though that was clearly visible. What can I do? It won't let me deny the return even though it's been more than a month, and they are also complaining that it has been opened even though in a picture I clearly showed that the warranty seal had been broken before. Please help!

If you check the time frame - see link below - your buyer had 30 days from the actual delivery date to open a return.  That is, provided you have tracking proving delivery and, I would assume, you uploaded the tracking before the case was opened.

Ebay may allow the buyer to open a return, but they should not be able to escalate and ask Ebay to step in.

I would send the buyer a message and point out that they are too late to start a return and you will not be refunding them.
