Buyer's return closed

A buyer requested a return. I sent the return label the same day, but they didn't send the item back, and eBay 'closed the buyer's return' because they hadn't returned the item (it was Royal Mail, and eBay can tell the item hasn't been shipped).  Does this mean I will finally get paid after a month, or will this be drawn out even more?

The buyer has 10 days to return the item.

If that lapses with no proof that the item was sent back the case will closed and the money on hold will be released.

Payouts are always placed on hold when a case is opened.
