I am a seller and was charged buyer protection and not the buyer I paid this fee for them which shouldn’t have happened

Was this an offer a buyer sent to you and you accepted?

Then, yes,  here the Buyer Protection Fee is taken off so you will receive less.

You were not charged the fee, it was taken off the buyer's payment.
