After seeing that eBay has recently added buyer protection fees to private sellers listings i finally decided to change over to a business account (I know i should have done it long ago).
Since changing over several hours ago nothing has changed and all my listings are still showing the higher prices with added fees. eBay customer services say that it should right itself soon.......otherwise I'm going to have to manually adjust hundreds of listings. I haven't sold a single item since they added the buyer protection fees as the prices are no longer competitive. eBay, what are you doing? I think they are trying to get rid of lots of private sellers that sell lower priced items :-((

If nothing changes in the next 24 hrs then contact ebay again about this.

I waited 24 hrs but absolutely nothing has changed. I did get charged 39 x 0.36p today though in fees and sold absolutely nothing for the first time ever, clearly due to the extra charges :-((
After over 16 years on eBay & 100% feedback i think it may be time to call it a day. Customer services can't help or suggest anything else apart from opening a £77 pm shop.

Here is another one where the BPF is still being applied to a converted account's listings.
I think it's safe to assume that it is endemic across all accounts that upgraded after having BPFs applied when private sellers.
CS don't seem to be any help.

Others are getting the same BP fees added, and some have said they have edited/revised the listings and re-entering prices have worked for some

Just edited / revised several listings but the BP fees are still there....?

Hi p123dvd, thanks for your post.
Could you please share 2/3 examples (item numbers) where you still see this fee, so I can look into it for you? Thanks for the tag, @papso22.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi p123dvd, thanks for your reply.
Don't worry about it, all good. 👍
I was just checking there for you, and the items 276739899960 and 276563636390 seem to be displaying the correct price, and when I try to go through checkout to see if the the BPF is added, I don't see it at all. However, the item 286301520050 seems to be showing a higher price, so I can escalate that for you no problem. I was just wondering, if you would have another 1 or 2 examples please? Or if you still see a higher amount in the other 2 items?
Thank you,
Marco

That's amazing, p123dvd. Thanks for sharing.
This might be related to the fact that these items were relisted from other items and not newly listed. Let me double check if this is expected, or a bug. I will also try to find a quick way for you to update if possible.
Once I get an update for you, I will let you know.
Thank you,
Marco

Hi p123dvd, thanks for your patience on this and apologies for the delay.
I am being confirmed that this is resolved for you now. I've just double check a couple of your examples, and the price shown seems to be correct and I see no buyer protection fee being added to it. If you are still seeing other listings impacted, please let me know and I will be happy to take a further look for you.
Thank you,
Marco
