Buyer not contacting me to arrange collection

I sold some furniture (collection only).

After accepting the offer the buyer paid in about 20 minutes and so I emailed asking when they would be available to collect.

After a couple of days and no response I emailed again. Still no response.

So I thought I would wait for them to contact me (it's now about 6 weeks) as I am curious to see what they are going to do as eBay are holding a decent amount of their money that they can't use and I'm in no rush to relist the furniture.

But eBay have just sent me an email saying they are going to automatically transfer the money to me on the 7th Jan.

Just wondering where I stand with having the money and the furniture?

If they don't have the item you should refund their money.    You could email them and give them a deadline.  If they still don't reply you can cancel the transaction.

Go to the dropdown arrow alongside the item on your sold page > Cancel order > Something wrong with buyer's address, which is the nearest one to this situation as it's possible they are too far away to collect easily.    The refund will be issued in the process.
