I sold an item on the 9th September for collection. Had to message the buyer repeatedly requesting their collection plan. Zero reply for 3 days. I kept chasing, they suddenly made the payment (low value £4 item). I repeated questions about their planned collection time, they just ghosted me. on 21st following further chasing and expression of frustration.....they finally responded asking where the item was located.
They claimed reason for delay was that I had not provided location..... I provide location and pointed out that this was already described in the advert. Asked them for a date and approx time so I could then provide them with full address and directions. They indicated potential on the weekend or late evening.. I confirmed any would be fine and that I would give them address once they confirmed date/time..
No respons again.... chased again... got an odd message telling me why should I care as they've already paid... and "do whatever you want"
item is still marked on eBay highlighting that I need to complete delivery... If he's not bothered to collect then I want to cancel the sales so I can sell elsewhere, but don't want to get dinged on my ratings for cancellation...
Cannot get any help or guidance from eBay
What is the recommendation course of action ?

Cancel the sale using "Buyer asked to cancel". This will give an automatic refund.
Add the buyer to your blocked bidders and relist.
There will be no harm done to your account.

@guinevere, Thank you for the feedback . I will do that . It's just so frustrating that people behave like this, and act as if I'm the one being unreasonable. 😞
