What happens if a buyer doesn't respond regarding collecting an item?

I sold an item yesterday that is collection only due to the weight.  As soon as the buyer bought it via By it now, they paid and I contacted them straight away to arrange collection.  They've not read or responded!  I know it's only been a day, but I go away on holiday in just over a week so want to arrange collection before I go.

The payment is showing in my ebay account today for me to withdraw to my bank account.

Does ebay give a time limit for collection?  

What happens if I withdraw funds and the buyer never collects?

Sometimes you just have to wait,

I would give the buyer 48 hours,

If they don't get back to you in 48 hours, message them again.

Then, you can either say the item has to be collected by (give a day) or you will refund them,

Or, as they don't know your address, you could tell them you will be away on your holidays between (give the dates) and they won't be able to collect until you come back.

If the buyer doesn't collect the item, they are within their rights to open an 'item not received' case with Ebay who will fully refund them from your funds.  They have 30 days to open an item not received case, even for a collection only item.

There's no ' set' date for a collection item,  but the usual is a 7 day wait before a refund is made.

If the buyer does not collect you have both item and the money so one has to go,  you would need to refund.

It has only been a day so still very early,  but as you say you are away soon,  send the buyer a polite message if you do not hear from them today,  that you do require a date for collection and can wait ** days,  otherwise you deem the item to be unwanted,  and will cancel the order,  which will fully refund them.

If this time passed with no communication,  cancel the order citing ' Buyer Requests to Cancel'.  This fully refund the buyer and your seller performance is not affected.

I would definitely not withdraw the payout now if it's showing available as it may be needed for a refund.
