Buyer has changed their mind

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok!

I sold and posted out a computer motherboard and the buyer has started a return which e-Bay has approved.  The reason they have given is that they have changed their mind.  I always put really detailed info on my listings so it's not as if they have bought the wrong thing.  The motherboard is quite expensive and I'm now worried that I might get an identical faulty one sent back rather than mine.  Even though I security mark them all.  I do accept returns on my listings but is there a way to remove the Changed my mind option from the returns process?  Or is it a case of I just have to see what arrives back and lose my postage?  Thanks!

Buyer has changed their mind

Returns accepted means just that.

You have to accept any “not as described” returns, but private seller can decline “change of mind” so returns accepted means you accept for any reason.

It is not a bad idea to accept returns, as refusal will in many cases mean a Not as described return is opened, which costs you more than change of mind where buyer has to pay return postage.

No there is not way to stop change of mind returns from the process, if you offer returns.

Thanks for the quick replies.  Yes that does make sense.  I will leave the listings as Returns Accepted.
