Buyer chooses Postage

Hi all,

I have recently sold a fairly heavy and bulky item.

As normal I chose the postage option when listing and picked a more expensive service (about £15)  to cover the size and weight.

After selling and taking the item I have noticed that the buyer has changed the postage to a basic, cheap option.

I am concerned by this as if the item doesn't get delivered or there are extra charges, I bet I'll be liable.

Is this something new ?  Seems like a bad idea to me, buyer may not understand size and weight. Nothing flagged up to inform me of this change.

Cheers

Buyer chooses Postage

Seller selects the size of item during the listing process.   Buyer only gets to choose postage options within that size restriction.    Even with the cheaper  option sellers and buyers are automatically protected for loss or damage in transit for up to £750.

If you think the postage is wrong it's best to cancel/refund the transaction with buyer's agreement and relist with correct postage for them to buy again.

has changed the postage to a basic, cheap option.

They were entitled to, as the listing offered the choice of standard or express delivery.

Buyer chooses Postage

Thanks for the reply.

I wasnt really concerned about standard vs express delivery, rather about
size and weight of parcel which would cost more...however this looks like
my error. I had gone into postage options and chosen a larger parcel size.
This didnt save to the listing, which surprised me as I remember seeing the
price that the buyer would pay with postage added eas considerably more.
Perhaps I didnt update correctly.

Thanks again for your help
