Buyer Protection Fee - Showing Wrong Price

Hi,

Need some help, I have recently listed a non digital product for £260.00 and on the listing page it shows the buyer protection fee should be £271.10 (Attached Screen shot 1), But after the item is listed the price shows as a whopping £323.10, and clisking on the buyer protection claculation on the listing shows the item price as £312.00 (screem shot 2). I have read the details and calculations and cant seem to understand how they have come up with this figure. I did get intouch with e bay, they kept saying there is a error and it has been passed to the higher technical team and they will resolve it - 7 months ago, it's still the same. If anyone can give me some input and help would be great.

Thanks

Buyer Protection Fee - Showing Wrong Price

Hi,

Yes I have changed the item category from Books>Antiques & Collectables to Books>Books and Magazines, and the problem has resolved itself, But many users whoud search Under Antiques and Collectable.

I have other books under Books>Antiques & Collectables that have the item price and the usual Buyer protection fee, but no VAT added. So today i decided to play around and edit one of the titles that in under the collectable categories, I implemented a step by step change, eg: Item Publisher, Item Published location etc and increased the price to £260.00 and with buyer protection it came to the correct amount £271.10, Then I decided to change the main title name and now the VAT has been added. I have the exact same listing with the correct price that is under the Books category but not the Antiques and collectable, but without the VAT added.

That is strange. Now i know there are some books that are Print on demand (digital) and may be considered digital, and may have VAT added (not sure)

But for some reason these 2 titles which are original seem to get the VAT added if listed under the Antiques and collectable category. I have left both listings active, so i can get intouch with e bay and get them to look into this.
