There's a bug preventing me contacting sellers at all, including ones I've purchased from. I'm in the UK and had purchased three items from a seller in France and paid before asking for combined postage as it said the items were in two other people's baskets. Ebay failed to combine postage on these three small, fairly light items ( only about an inch long and the same wide). I went to contact the seller to ask if he could refund the excess postage. But every time I clicked Contact seller on their profile it sent me back to their profile. If I went to purchased items and clicked contact seller it sent me back to the items or order or contact seller page. I couldn't report this in Help as there is no Help category I could see for reporting bugs with contacting sellers. So I cancelled the order entirely rather than pay three times the real postage cost.

How did you cancel, as buyers cannot cancel, only sellers can cancel?

I asked for the order to be cancelled using the buttons that allow buyers to do that, having only made the purchase about ten minutes before, after finding out it wouldn't let me contact the seller to ask about refunding the excess postage. I am assuming the buyer will cancel the order as they're highly unlikely to have packed the order ten minutes after purchase before 9 AM on a Saturday.

You can only ask seller to cancel.
If private seller using SD, they can't combine postage.
If a label is not used, ebay refund you up to 40 days later.
If item does not arrive 1 day after estimated delivery date, open item not received case.

Sounds like Ebay Simple Delivery is rubbish then and is losing both sellers and Ebay a lot of money, because many buyers either just won't buy in the first place or will cancel a purchase if Simple Delivery means the seller has to overcharge them on postage

SD is not popular.
But is compulsory for private sellers in most categories.

like numerous others I'm not totally up on 'Simple Delivery'.
I thought that SD was only for UK sellers and therefore not for sellers in France, plus I thought SD could not, in any event, be used for exports, as France to UK would be.

If you've paid for your items and they're being shipped via eBay's Global shipping Programme then the seller wouldn't be able to combine postage.
