Bought laptop in September 2024. Has a fault, seller not replying

I bought a LG Gram laptop in September 2024. After a few weeks, the charger stopped working. I bought a new charger but the same thing happened. Charger worked for a while and then stopped working. I thought the chargers were faulty. I have bought at lest 5 new chargers to date. I have found out by speaking to LG on the phone that this is a know fault with the charging points with this laptop. They won't fix because it is out of warranty. I have emailed the seller twice to get some help from them, no reply. Can I get help from ebay.?. The laptop was faulty from the word go but I really thought it was the chargers. Can anyone give any advice please.

Ebay only offer any help for the first 30 days and your payment provider can usually only help for up to 120 days.

If the seller isn't helping, you may have to consider paying to have the laptop repaired.  I had a similar issue with an Acer laptop a few years ago and kept trying new chargers.

Generally, the answer is no.

However, some items on the site are sold as 'Guaranteed Refurbished' - that would have been plainly visible on the listing when you bought it.

Details are here

https://pages.ebay.co.uk/refurbished-guarantees/

If you did buy from a business seller who offered this, you still have to deal with the seller.  This is from the link:

Once your order has been confirmed, the seller will send you a separate email with details of the seller guarantee, what's covered and their contact information. Alternatively, this information will be included in the parcel when the item is sent to you.

Please make sure you hold on to this information for the duration of the guarantee.
