Bidding on a item

Hi, this evening I bid on two separate items by placing a bid in the closing seconds. According to the clock I had won the item at one price but when I checked the bidding history it still shows the clock running for 10-15 seconds during which I was bid up higher. I have never seen this happen before? It seems like I had more time to place my bid than the clock on my bid said. Is this a glitch or something else?

No glitch.

Auctions always end correctly to the minute and seconds from when it started. 

Someone else bid in last seconds to push your bid up.

You won item at price you were happy to pay, maybe even a bit less than your max bid.
