I purchased a kettle on Ebay. It was faulty and had a bad smell inside it so I asked the seller for a returns label to get a refund. He has been ignoring me but today I received a threatening message blackmailing me that if I didn't take down my feedback they wouldn't be giving me a refund. I will never buy anything from Ebay ever again.

Start a return on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/buying/returns-refunds/return-item-refund?id=4041
select "Item doesn't match description". Escalate it to eBay after 3 complete working days.

You do not ask for return label, which seller can ignore, you open a return case which sellers ignore at their perils. The case involves seller providing a label within 3 days, if not you escslate to ebay, who take over and seller gets a defect.

Ignore the threats, your seller has no choice but to accept their kettle back and issue a full refund.
Go to your purchase history in your eBay account and open an eBay return and select the 'doesn't work or is defective'.
If your seller doesn't send you a pre-paid returns label, after 3 business days you can ask eBay to step in.
