Anyone got any solution to getting help from ebay with products bought over 90 days ago?

I bought a telescopic ladder on Ebay 4 months ago. Recently received an email from ebay telling me UK government had found these had significant safety issues and were banning them for sale. Suggested I "reach out" to seller. This I did , and they have ignored me. Paid a lot for something to dangerous to use, and now appears to be no help.  Any suggestions?

Unless this was purchased from a UK registered business,  you cannot claim anything back from  the seller as more than 30 days have passed the item's last estimated date for delivery.

The safety issue  may have developed or be found after the item was sold.

See if your payment provider can help with a refund most offer some form of protection for 6 months.
