Adding tracking number to an item which my buyer has received

Hi

My buyer has received the item but wishes to make a return.  I chose Royal Mail to send the item but did not add tracking at the time of posting. I have followed the instructions from ebay to add tracking but the option is never given in the drop boxes. I have also messaged eBay to ask for help but they keep advising me to follow the same steps…which are not helping.

If I cannot add tracking then my buyer is unable to proceed. I have not encountered this problem before so any help would be appreciated.

Here you go, and use a laptop / PC not the app pr mobile browser, try  Chrome, it seems to work well with eBay.

 

  • Go to "Orders Paid & Dispatched"
  • Click on "View order details"
  • Within the "Postage" section there's a small dropdown arrow next to "Track Package" - click on that.
  • Click on the "Add tracking" option
  • A box will come up with the current tracking number . Delete that and replace it with your tracking.
