A request to remove a listing from other.

Hi,

I got a message from another shop asking me to take down an item with ID ......., saying they’re the owner and that I don’t have their permission to sell it. The strange thing is, I’ve seen several other listings for the same item. I asked them to show me some proof, but they refused and just told me I have 48 hours to remove it or they’ll take legal action.

I also checked their eBay shop, and they’re actually sold out with no active listings for that item.

Honestly, it feels like they might just be trying to cut down the competition.
