i sent an offer to a buyer and they accepterd that offer, now ebay says its sold but the buyer although theyve accepted the offer to buy did not pay immediately as normal practice. why do ebay allow this almost semi scam...when i recieved mesaage that id sold the item i got it ready for posting and just checked again on my laptop from my phone as more detail to see that ithad NOT been paid for and therefore not actually sold. why do ebay allow this thanks
im not concerend about forcing buyer to pay immediately..my point was that ebay should not close my listing and message me to say your item has sold when in fact they are still awaiting payment. on a buyitnow listing the item is not sold until the buyer pays...when you send an offer to a buyer and they accept, for some reason ebay allow them to accept the offer thereby closing the listing.. but the item has not been paid for .its not a question of wiating on the bank, we are talking about ebay are waiting to be paid by the buyer thanks
Sorry, I did not know when you said sold, it then went into your Awaiting Payments column , and not Awaiting Postage.
eBay will remind them in 48 hours that they need to pay, then after 4 days you can cancel the order.
Yep, cannot disagree it is annoying, but once an offer has been accepted by a buyer the item 'on paper is sold', again nothing to enforce a buyer to pay on the spot here, but reminders and penalties for the buyer will ensue if there is not a prompt payment.
