using a VPN means ebay keeps blocking my account

They think it's not me but I'm using a VPN to protect myself from hackers...so to use ebay and google I now have to be unprotected and put up with all the unwanted ads??? Is there another solution?

problem sorted with two replies I received and, as I said to tanned-1, I therefore don't use the VPN for websites like Paypal and Ebay that have their own safety systems as of course they cannot check it's really me otherwise. And will get an ad blocker.

Just to let you know - PayPal can suspend you if you use a VPN to access their services.

That's pretty much the idea yeah.

It's like having photo id then covering the photo up when you show it to people.

eBay actually require that you do not use a VPN to access the site as transactions/logins etc are geotracked by IP address to protect you from hackers.........imagine how it would look to eBay if purchases on your account were sudddenly appearing from the USA, France, Sweden etc
