Do not keep messaging buyer, they may (or may not) have been after a discount, it item is damaged why would he want to keep it.
If he messages you, just reply that you have supplied label & will refund on return.
If he opens case, ebay will give date he has to return item by, case will time out in your favour if he doesn't do this,
just sit back & wait, as much as it is annoying.
