too many useless lots on eBay

How come there are so many lots on ebay that go through unsold usuallly because they are overpriced and or poor lots.........it wastes my tme looking at them and i am sure when i am selling items (and i sell almost 100%) they get swamped with this stuff.......i could not afford to put things on that did not sell and as a buyer i wish i could just look at those lots with bids on!!!!

ebay gives private sellers  1000 free listings a month

so the site gets swamped with rubbish that no one wants to buy,

if they list in auction format the tat is relisted 8 times free of charge

fixed price listings are now Good til Cancelled, so the tat will go round and round for years and years!

Because it costs them nothing unless they sell, so they have nothing to lose by chancing their arm.

If everyone took that approach then nothing would ever get sold as nobody would see anything !!  You have to see items with no bids on to be able to be the first bidder

Simple really, far too many sellers with chance of 1000 items per month, plus of course about 2 Max Fee offers per month, but the number of buyers does not increase.

Starting at 99p will sell with popular items but can prove very risky.
