i have a problem where a recorded delivery has been delivered and the item is missing ive had some help form the community and opened a case and missing item the sellar womt cliam through his insurance and done this.. which i dont mind doing but havent got a clue why ive got to do it im the buyer :

There is no claim either you or the seller can make on Insurance. Tracking proves delivered, whatever has happened, that is what decides the issue. Your arguement is with your local delivery office.

I'll have another go at this!   Do you mean that the parcel was delivered but was empty?  If that is the case then it is quite straightforward in that you open a "not as described case" in the resolution centre.  You do not open a "non receipt case" as tracking will show that it was delivered. 

 

If it was empty then escalate the case after 3 full business days

If the item shows as being delivered despite the fact that it has not been delivered to you then usually eBay will simply find for the seller.  The seller does not have to claim on "his insurance" at all as "it has been delivered". 

 

Your best bet is to go to your Royal Mail delivery office and make one almighty fuss. 

 

It may not do anything but it is really unlikely that eBay will find for you
