selling fees.. novice!

Hi!

Can someone please help me with the balance of what I have sold. It seems there is a few pence missing off everything i have sold when i look at my paypal account, which i was guessing was ebays cut, but then i noticed i had a debit for Oct fees to ebay. Is this right?

For example....

I sold something for £4.79 but rec'd £4.43

I sold something for £6.80 but rec'd £6.37

I sold something for £12.33 but rec'd £11.61    (all including postage), etc, etc, etc.

But then I had a bill for October saying £4.84 to Ebay.

I'm guessing this is all correct, and they are just fees, but how is it worked out? Why is there money missing off each item sold AND a monthly bill?

Can someone help me understand, as seems random amounts?

Thanks for your time!Smiley Frustrated

You are charged eBay final value fees at 10% (on the item price plus the postage price), plus PayPal fees at 3.4% (3.9% if international transaction) and 20p.

PayPal take their fee when you receive the payment, which is why the figures you're looking at are less than those shown on the buyer invoice.

eBay bill you monthly for their fees.
