I sent an item and it arrived damaged, who is liable? Ebay or the courier and how do I get redress?

eBay did not pack or send the item they are just a selling  platform.

A seller is fully responsible fort packing an item securely that it reaches a buyer in good order.

If you  have  ever seen any programmes on tv,   how  some  couriers treat parcels,  you realise that parcels  have to be packed and protected enough for a full round in Wembley.

Ask your buyer to open a case for item not as described,  accept the case and refund fully within 3 days,  that way your seller fee is fee is refunded,  and your seller performance is not affected.

Then fight your corner with your courier for compensation for yourself.  Buyer gets refunded first.
