I bought a router which was advertised with a 2 year guarantee, upon the 2nd time of use the item broke, the first time i contacted the seller they replied saying they were awaiting reply from the manufacturer, more than 2 months have gone by and the seller now does not respond to messages, can I do anything about this? They shouldnt offer an item with guarantee if that guarantee is useless....
As you have found, Warranties offered by sellers on Ebay are only as good as your ability to enforce them.
Ebay's Money back Guarantee is only for 30 days and only covers condition on arrival.
If seller is a BUSINESS Seller in the UK consult Citizens Advice or Trading Standard. If a Private Seller or outside he UK there is nothing you can do.
EBay doesn't get involved with guarantee issues. You can see what CAB has to say.
