second ebay account

Can someone give me instructions on how to open another ebay account.  I've had a personal account for many years, and now I'd like to try selling things that I make and don't want to do this from my personal account which my husband shares with me.  I contacted eBay but the person I spoke to didn't seem to know how it's done.  I was just told to open another ebay account with a new email account.

log out of the account you normally use

go to the log in page

click on switch account

then click on create an account

then click on Create a business account

you will need a different email address to the one you use on your normal account

Can I also ask if this can link with the information on my existing account? Can I use the same Username and Pay Pal account? Annie

you can use your own name as the account holder but you will need a different ebay ID, you can use the same paypal account

OK, so new ID, new email, same PayPal. Is it the case that if I am thinking about making things to sell, I need to open a business account, but not necessarily a shop which would incur a fee? I just want to experiment with selling my own products but don't want to have heavy expenses if I don't succeed. Thanks

you don't need a shop yet, as you won't be making enough to warrant the fees, but you do need a business account if you are making to sell
