a seller on ebay was selling a van ,i sent £950 deposit then realised it was a fake listing but to late i allready sent the money ,ebay wont help as i transfered the nomey with my banking app ,but i did report the seller but ebay left the listing up so more people are going to get scammed ,hes a scammer steels pictures from genuine auto trader sellers and opens fake accounts on ebay ,says he will take deposits for vehicles he does not own ,reported to action fraud ,lets hope ebay take action before more people get scammed
I'm sorry you've lost your money but why on earth did you agree to send £950 to a complete stranger's bank account for a car you haven't even seen?
We cannot repeat the advice often enough on here
Only pay cash for a vehicle once you have seen it, thoroughly inspected it, and can drive it away.
Ebay is full of such criminals. They jump onto unused accounts and hack them to advertise their 'wares'.
