hi, is anyone else having a nightmare with royal mail recently ?
I understand now and again things go missing, but the last few months it seems a hell of a lot of my orders are going missing !
I have a royal mail account and i take my mail bags to the post office ( so you would think they are safely in the postal system ) but full bags seem to just disappear.
The items i sell are only a few pounds each, so its not worth paying for tracking, but i have to refund alot of people and have a few angry customers.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Is there another way to do things?
Or should i just shut my ebay account and find another job?
Surely this is something you should take up with the Post Office/Royal Mail.? As far as I am concerned RM does an excellent job. You blame RM but the problem is more likely at the PO, as I am certain that once Mail is in the hands of RM they do not sort out your post to lose!!
Use a different Post Office.
john, im not having a dig a royal mail, but if im taking my orders to them, and they go missing then who could be losing them?
when i called royal mail, all they say is wait 10 working days and then put in a claim.
when your billed on an account you would think your mail bags or post is scanned somewhere to generate a bill, but they have no way of even telling if they get the mail bags in the first place.
I was just asking if anyone was experiencing the same thing, and if there was another way things could be done to ensure my customers get their stuff.
I even posted things in the post box to see if that made a difference and still had items go missing, i had to send one customer a replacement twice, thankfully she got her item the 3rd time.
From what I can gather RM are doing the best they can with limited resources.
They have a large amount of staff off sick or isolating with Covid and are dealing with social distancing within the sorting office.
We have had a few items go missing but not that many, but it does seem to vary from area to area. Some towns are doing very well and are getting all their mail while others are falling behind.
