i am a bit confused a buyer opened a return case, wanted to return an item l agreed then the buyer closed the case a few days later before the item arrived back or they were refuned.I thought the case would need to stay open till the item arrived back and they had been refunded.

Presumably they have changed their mind. No Case, no return, no refund.

Once closed cannot be re-opened.
