There are only a few valid reasons to retract a bid.

Enter bid retraction into the Help & Contact tab above your eBay page,  see if your reason is there.

Use a desktop browser,  not a mobile browser or app to manage this.

Then, if your reason for retracting is not there, and you win the item, you are obliged to pay. Of course no one can force you , but you will face an unpaid item strike after 4 days of non payment. One will not do your account much harm, but gain another and you will not be able to buy from the majority of sellers on eBay for a full 12 months.
