The item posted (small letter size envelope) standard postage to the buyer, was with an eBay printed Royal mail label and at the post office a printed proof of postage obtained. The tracking number on the item is automatically uploaded so the seller can see the item has been sent. The seller now claims he hasn't recieved the item (there's usually one or two most months !)
The seller was sent straight away a copy of the prood of postage. The seller has now opened a case.
Is this sufficient and the fact that my listing has stated for many years that 'if standard mail and a copy of proof of postage is not sufficient, then please request a signed for service and postage cost will be amended)
Will eBay just refund the seller and leave me with making some sort of postal claim ?
Regards
Graham
Unless you can prove by online tracking that the buyer got the item, you will have to refund the buyer. Proof of postage means nothing, as does your listing wording.
