postal workers still working with social distancing measures

Does ebay understand that the in Royal mail sorting offices, are still working under social distancing measures and therefore cannot guarantee any postal delivery times? and what are ebay doing to protect sellers acounts against this ongoing problem, thanks

I understand that based on the sellers despatch estimate and type of postage eBay assesses the latest date for delivery.  If this would normally be - say - 3 days I believe there was an announcement saying it was extended to - say - 5 days.  In any event if a non-delivery case is open there is another 8 days for delivery before escalation/refund.  

I was chatting [socially distanced of course] to our relief postman [sic].  When they arrive these days most of the mail is already sorted mechanically into the delivery frame in the order of the walk.  They are required only to add any extra items and packets

i post my items on or the day after purchase, all area's are different, however this isn't really relevant to my concerns, what is ebay doing and going to do about it? ebay know there is a postal service issue!
