Hello
I have received email that my payment is on hold and I don't understand why.
The buyer apparently has paid as I received the information so he arranged the delivery himself. He sent his own driver to pick up to package so I gave it to hm. So the printer I sold is already delivered by his own driver.
But why my money is on hold? and when I will receive them?
Your Money is on Hold because you haven't Sold anything for a Year so you are being treated the same as if you were a New Seller. Is for Security Reasons. In case you Sell something but don't Post it. All Payments will be on Hold for 21 days unless you add a Tracking Number into Dispatch. That releases the Hold after about 7 days.
You need to check your PayPal Account and make sure the Money is there. It should say "Payment Pending Ok to Post." Check your Sold Items in Ebay is the £ sign blackened out?
The Bloke who bought the Printer just took it away. You have No Tracking to enter into Dispatch. He could open an Item Not Received Case. You cannot prove he has it as you have no Tracked Postage. He would win an Item Not Received Case. Find More Actions to the right of the Item and Mark as Dispatched.
The Mac Book you have Listed. Make sure you Post that by Special Delivery to be covered against Loss or Damage. 2nd Class Signed for only covers you in Compensation up to 50.00. Then add the Tracking Number to Dispatch.
If you do Sell Collection Items you should ask for Cash On Collection. No PayPal Fees and No Returns Cases. You can't Refuse PayPal but type CASH ON COLLECTION PREFERRED in large Font in the Description.
Just ask for Special Delivery when you take it to the PO. Will cost you another £3 or £4.00 but it really is worth it. Delivery is the next day. The Householder has to Sign for it. If no one is home they won't leave it with anyone else it goes back to the Depot. Impossible for the Buyer to Claim "Item Not Received" or that it was Damaged in the Post.
Keep your Postal Receipt for 13 months. Buyers can and some do Claim Unauthorised Use of their Credit Card through their Bank to get their Money back within 12 months.
It is there somewhere but - in practice as you are showing Free Post - it does not matter. You just go to Post Office and pay out high cost of Special Delivery.
You could amend the text in the listing details to make it clear that it will - at no cost to buyer - be sent SD
