Hi, a prospective buyer wants to pay by bank transfer although I already  told him I accept paypal only. Is bank transfer safe or should I stick to paypal payment?

There is no reason/risk for you as a seller to refuse payment by bank transfer.

A buyer loses their ebay buyer protection if they pay by any method other than Paypal.

They cannot claim item not received or not as described.  It's as good as cash.

bank transfer is very safe for sellers, not so for buyers,

once a payment has cleared into your bank account it cannot be claimed back, unlike a paypal payment

if I were you I would be accepting the bank transfer, but they need to purchase through the listing first,
