payment delay from ebay for sold item

I sold a camera a few days ago and the money has gone to ebay, why wont they release it for several weeks because I made my own courier arrangements for delivery. The purchaser has received the camera.  Michael.

You are under eBay's Managed Payments,  so this is how payouts happen now .

eBay then first take their fees from money received from a sale, and send the remainder to your nominated bank account. This takes 1 - 2 business working days.

Your bank then takes 1 - 4 business working days to process those funds, before they become available for you to withdraw.
