This is not a VAT issue. However, what worked for me is to simply log out of Ebay UK and log in to another Ebay site in a country that uses euro, such as Ireland.

It will become an added VAT 20% tax issue if a UK account is used to sell from anywhere outside the UK.   Should you have difficulties, consider transferring the account to a Eurozone site or the Global/International > ebay.com < site.
