making a claim back for good purchased on ebay within 2 year warranty

Hi, i brought an LED light fitting from a seller on 18 jan 2020.

The light i purchased has since become faulty, it was however covered by a 2 year warranty from the seller.

I have contacted the seller and explained that the light is faulty and i purchased it well within the warranty and ive asked for a replacement.

The seller has not responded at all although its only been 48 hours.

im not sure what i need to do next and would be grateful for any advice.

thank you

Neither eBay Nor PayPal offers any warranty.

The eBay guarantee lasts up to 30 days beyond the delivery date but does not get involved in warranty issues beyond that date

The PayPal MBG lasts for 180 days (about 6 months) but again is not a warranty.

As you are too late for eBay or PayPal to support you your contract is with the seller directly.

If the seller is U.K. based and a business seller Trading Standards may help you.

If you paid by card your card issuer may also help you.

If the seller is abroad, you will have difficulty enforcing the warranty.

If the seller is a private individual, no warranty is implied.

eBay have never - and will never - get involved with any warranty issues.

It is purely between you and the seller, sorry.

edit - sorry that was obviously in reply to your second post, it has just got inserted a bit weird in the thread!

Nothing you can do on eBay or, I doubt, through any payment provider.

Was it a UK seller?

Any "warranty" is only ever as good as your ability to enforce it, sadly.
