For quite some time now, I have been having constant problems with the ebay website and in particular the Firefox Mozilla browser. No matter what I attempt the problem remains, hence this request.
Apparently ebay are aware of the problem, and their engineer's are "working on the problem". But this as been going on far to long. It as come to the point., that the issue as gotten rather out of hand, leaving the website unusable.
Constantly I get the message, that the website is not responding due to possibly a java script http://secureir.ebaystatic.com/rs/c'templates-js-18f92b.js:7. I know very little about javascript, and am very reluctant to mess about withthings that I know little about, without the appropriate guidance.
Could anyone help to resolve this issue, because it is becoming extremely annoying.
Hi there,
A work around which seems to be helping me with the same issue, is to click on firefox = then addons. Click on Get more addons then scroll down and see more addons. Search for Block site. Follow the instructions to install.
Once installed go back to the addons menu and select extensions. Select Options at the right of Block site. the options box appears. Click on Add and type in the first line below, then OK and repeat for the other 3 and then OK to close the options box. Shut all firefox windows and reopen.
ebayrtm.com
iebaying.com
secureir.ebaystatic.com
reco.ebay.com
These are the ones that seem to have solved the hanging problem for me at the moment. If you cant get into ebay, its simply a case of returning to the options box and deleting the entries one by one, to see which is the offender. When the ebay page is loading the sites are displayed bottom left or right, and if your page hangs you should be able to see the offender, and add it into the options box minus http, https, www.
