item returned after 7 days

 Item was delivered to Argosd collection point - I misssed the email so didn't pick up in the 7 day window. Argos say it was returned but seller put no return address on it so neither buyer or seller has item...

Can I get a refund as buyer?

The shop will say it was returned but in most cases it is not and is disposed of.

You may have lost your money and item

Your item will be held in-store for collection for a maximum of 7 days from when you receive your Collection Notification. If you fail to collect your item within 7 days, we’ll treat this as cancellation of your order.

The item may be returned to the seller or may be disposed of or donated to a charity with no liability to eBay and/or service providers.

eBay will notify you by email, My eBay messages and text message when your item is ready for collection ("Collection Notification").

The seller need only refund when they recieve the item back and if they dont then you may not get refunded

 You are also covered by the paypal money back guarantee but if the item shows as Delivered the address that is on paypal (to the Collect shop) then you would lose on ebay or paypal
