If you had read the terms and conditions, which no-one ever does, you would have known that after 7 days you are deemed to have cancelled the sale. The store can dispose of the item as they want - eBay suggests giving it to charity. You forfeit any right to a refund.
So many buyers don't read the t&c, or collect items on time, that the charities must have done quite well out of it.
