item got blood or faeces all over it

i bought a dress and the seller mentioned marks on the inside - no problem - however i got it and in total there were 23 marks which were stains like dried blood or faeces on the inside and outside - disgusting - it was also clearly stinking of having been worn - not a mouldy vintage smell nor smoke nor musty but that smell you get when something has been worn and been against flesh and not cleaned. i took a cotton bud and dampened it - firstly to see if the marks might come out and secondly to see if a tiny amount of water showed it as blood or not. Anyhow mark did not come out at all - so totally dried in - i opened a return case and got a load of abuse from the high feedback seller - then they went to ebay and said i had altered the condition of the dress and so wouldnt take it back - l lost the case and appealed and ebay also said i have altered the condition - which i havent as the stinking mark is still there lol - so im ripped off for about 35 pound and am so angry that ive posted the dress to the local trading standards office asking them to verify what the stains are and to report this business seller in their own area.

i am disgusted that anyone has sent out an unwashed item. is there anything else i can do to report this seller? i am sure they are churning out many sales and obviously got mainly good feedback but they got it wrong in this case and im the one left feeling annoyed because ebay took their side - unfairly imo - any suggestions? thanks

You should not have tried to clean it at all and opened the dispute straight away

You also should not have sent it too Trading Standards

Did you contact them first and ask about it as I would think they would only take action if it was a business which I am assuming it is not.

If you had not tried to clean it then the seller would have been made to pay the return postage and you would have received a full refund for not as described

Even if you lost on ebay then you could open the dispute in paypal and you would have received your money back

Now you have given it too Trading Standards then you would have nothing to return to the seller to get your money back
