I never use drafts now, but while only 20 drafts show, I think the number you can create is virtually unlimited.
The problem is seeing them as you can see the first 20 or reverse the order and see the last 20, but the others in between will be hidden.
I use scheduling as by editing the listing date, listings can be kept there as long as required.
