How can you tell if a seller is honest, when ebay removes feedback which warns other potential buyers

that the goods they sell are fake.

if feedback breaks feedback policy/rules eBay will remove it if the sellers asks.

Example, you left negative feedback for 'extortionate p&p' - if the seller charged the quote postage then eBay could remove that neg.

Asking about the ability to warn buyers about sellers offering fake goods, yet ebay mask the problem by removing the warning. As for the P&P £16 is extortionate when £3.49 is what was used to post an item. I wouldn't be surprised if ebay removed that to protect their profits, they seem comfortable protecting thieves and scammers.

How woluld eBay know this wasn't a competitor just adding ....  this seller is selling fakes?   Hence it is not allowed.

You receive a fake?  If you paid with Paypal you have eBay's 30 day MBG to fall back on for a full refund.

Also common sene works here a lot,  if an item is priced at a price that seems too good to be true,  it more than likely is,   too good to be true.

Well that's ebay's problem, not mine as a customer. So the problem continues fake goods sold on ebay because feedback warning potential buyers of the danger is removed. Paypal and eBay's 30 day MBG is protection for the fact that ebay do nothing to clean the site of scammers and comments like yours only enforces the problem. The question is How can you tell if a seller is honest, when ebay removes feedback which warns other potential buyers
that the goods they sell are fake.

So i take it the answer is you can't tell if the goods are fake and sellers are scammers because ebay removes the warning. So we all have to rely on paypal MBG. Well done ebay.

Ebay would remove your Feedback if you unequivocally accused a Seller of Selling Fakes just because you believe they are.

So ebay should take note paparse22 tells it like it is sellers of fake goods will continue until ebay allows feedback notifying other potential buyers of the past dealings of lowlife fake good merchants.
