I recently puchased a software license. The software worked ok but shut down within a matter of days. I contacted the seller who provided a replacement which did not work. I then went on to apply the return process. I recieved a message from eBay several days ago stating that the return had been closed. As there was no mention of refund I decided to give them a call. To keep this short, I was told that I would not be entitled to a refund as my purchase was "not a physical item" (license key was delivered by eBay message / email).
I mentioned the UK distance selling act which should protect purcasers from such a loss but was ignored and they eventually dropped my call.
I wonder how many other eBayers have been faced with similar problems resulting in financial loss? All comments and experiences would be welcome in the meantime.
