downloaded listings as excel is read only

Hi when i download my listings as an excel file I cannot edit and save them.  The file is a read only, can anyone help?

Usuall it comes up on mine as allow editing when it is downloaded and where it says Read only

I think you can also

File, Options ,Advance, and allow editing

You can google it and I expect it will come up with other ways
