different delivery addresses

i sold an item and printed the address out and shipped,9 days later the buyer opens a case against me to say he hasn`t received the item,i have refunded him,i then checked the royal mail proof of posting and the address is different on the receipt than is now showing on his ebay delivery address,just wondered if this is a common occurance,he was very understanding but i cannot understand what has happened,the two addresses are withiun a few miles of each other.

You must always post to buyers paypal address, may be different to ebay one.

If you posted to paypal address & tracking shows as delivered, then you don't have to refund.

Always add tracking to ebay so buyer & ebay can see it incase of case.
