closing account

Has anyone else found it difficult to close their account? Mine has been compromised AFTER I changed all account information. They now tell me it takes 60 days!! How ridiculous is that when there is fraudulent activity on my account!!

Accounts never do close immediately and it takes 180 days in all.

If an account is compromised you should secure it and contact ebay.http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/account/securing-account.html

I did secure it by changing my ID, password and security question - yet despite all that a fraudulent transaction went through AND I had un-linked my Pay Pal account!! Taking 180 days to close an account where fraudulent activity is proven is pathetic. I'm an IT consultant and I can assure you it takes minutes not days. Would you accept that response from your bank if your account was compromised?
