cannot search by seller id in advanced search

Any reason for this? An putting in seller ids but nothing coming back

That search function has been broken for ages. 

I brought this time factor to the attention of a manager who answered he has never seen reports of this,  think perhaps I've been on this forum a weeee  bit longer than him,  and as your post proves too,  it's   still broke,  and it aint been fixed!
