accepting returns non business seller

HI, I recently sold an item and was contacted by the buyer stating they have returned the item back to me as it does not fit. Do I have to accept the return even though it stated in the listing 'no returns accepted' and what should I do if the buyer returned it without asking first ? Should I have listed inaccurately I would gladly accept a return, but I did not.
